Got stuck on this for ages but finally come up with a new solution that i hadn’t heard on here before.

Put ipod/iphone into DFU mode while connected to your computer wait for it to be recognised by itunes then click the restore button wait for it to to try and restore then you should get a error code (in my case 3194) this means you either dont have the latest iTunes version OR!!! your itunes host file has been edited) so from this i used my friends computer which was in a different house on a completely different wifi/broadband/network i then tried the same process on the this computer and i recieved the error code 1600, so to solve this you have to change the USB port which the ipod is plugged into AND turn your firewall off in the control panel, then try a restore again this time it gave my ipod a full restore and is no longer bricked!

Hope this may help some of you which are still stuck.

Okok Someone Please don’t ignore my comment , Im doing everything he said , And when im trying to restore Each TIMES , I have an error screen appearing , what can i do guys im stuck with my broken DAD’S iphone. (scuse me for my english im french)

a program made my iphone 3gs unstable wnd when i rebooted it i had the same problem. stuck on the greenpoison logo. followed the steps itunes downloaded ios5 but it was not able to install it to the phone. if any one has any ideas please share. thx

Hey, Christine. Unfortunately I think if you go into this mode you’re committing to a total wipe of your iphone starting from scratch. That’s why it’s super important to back up your iphone regularly with syncs. Believe me, it’s better than having a bricked phone.
